I AM YOURS

In the first episode of The Chosen we are introduced to a demon possessed woman who desperately wants change, and all she could do at times was recite this passage:

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;

I have summoned you by name;

YOU ARE MINE. 

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; 

and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. 

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;

The flames will not set you ablaze. 

Although others try to help this woman, no one can. She makes up her mind to end her life. 

Then in a truly remarkable moment, a stranger shows up and calls out to her. He knew her. He called her by her real name. 

Here, just watch it yourself. 

Ok, maybe you aren’t as sensitive as I am, but I CAN NOT watch that scene without crying. 

At her wits end, her demons terrorizing her, He found her. 

He wasn’t afraid to meet her where she was at. This woman. This one, broken woman, was sought out by HIM. 

He found her, he healed her, and she was changed. 

If you haven’t caught on to where I’m going with this yet, let me enlighten you. 

YOU are also that important. YOU are also being pursued by your creator who is desperate for you to know him. HE is calling you by name. HE has redeemed you. 

This wasn’t just for one woman 2000 years ago. 

This is for you. Today. 

You belong to him.
